Sunday, August 15
Depart 6:00 AM from the north end of the Park and Ride on Deereco Road, l/4 mile south off Padonia Road (exit l7 I-83) and 6:30 AM from Carney Park and Ride on Harford Road and Jomat Avenue, 3/4 mile north off beltway exit 3l-B. A breakfast stop on own will be made 8:00AM . Lunch and rest stops en route before arriving approximately 5:00 PM and check into an area hotel in Ohio. Dinner is included at a local restaurant.
Monday, August 16
Following breakfast, check out and continue traveling to Frankenmuth, Michigan’s “Little Bavaria”. Spend the afternoon in Frankenmuth. Check into our lodging. A family-style dinner is included tonight at Zehnder’s Restaurant.
Tuesday, August 17
Following breakfast at the hotel, check out and spend the morning in Frankenmuth. Visit Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland and other shops in this fascinating village. Lunch is on own in Frankenmuth, and then depart north to your lodging for the next two nights. Dinner is included at a local restaurant.
Wednesday, August 18
Depart for an early ferry ride to Mackinac Island. Upon arrival you will go directly to the Grand Hotel for a delicious breakfast. A self-guided tour of the common area of the Grand Hotel follows, with an opportunity to view the Straits of Mackinac from a rocking chair on the expansive porch. Board a horse-drawn carriage for a narrated tour of the island. In the afternoon you will have time to explore the area on your own before returning via ferry to the mainland for a delicious barbecue dinner, followed by a couple hours at the Kewadin Shores Casino where you can try your luck.
Thursday, August 19
Breakfast, then check out and depart south across the 5-mile Mackinac Bridge into the Lower Peninsula. Your destination this morning is the Pierce Stocking Scenic Loop, where several vantage points afford views of the Sleeping Bear Sand Dune and crystal-blue Lake Michigan. Stop at Cherry Republic to purchase some delectable cherry products before continuing to your overnight lodging. Dinner is included this evening at a local restaurant.
Friday, August 20
After breakfast at the hotel, check out and depart for your last night of lodging. Dinner included this evening.
Saturday, August 21
Breakfast included this morning. Check Out and depart 7:00 AM depart hotel for the return to Baltimore. Lunch on own and rest stops before arriving approximately 6:00 PM at Carney Park and Ride and 6:30 PM at Deereco Park and Ride.
