The Smithsonian is the catalogued attic of the United States. The world’s largest museum complex stretches out along Washington’s longest lawn–the Mall. If you spent 30 seconds looking at each exhibit it would take you more than 300 years to get through them. All Smithsonian Museums are free. You are on your own to visit the museums.

Depart 8:00 AM from the north end of the Park & Ride on Deereco Road, 1/4 mile south off Padonia Road (Exit 17-I-83) and 8:30 AM from Carney Park & Ride on Harford Road and Jomat Avenue, 3/4 mile off beltway exit 31-B. Arrive at the Smithsonian Museums approximately 10:00 AM. Day is on own to visit museums. 4:30PM depart Washington for the return home arriving approximately 6:00 PM at Carney Park & Ride and 6:30 PM at Deereco Park & Ride.
