Visit the historic towns of Sandwich and Provincetown. Tour Boston, and stop at Quincy Market, a bustling remnant of the traditional Market Place squares of England’s past.
Sunday, August 29
Depart 6:00 AM from the north end of the Park and Ride on Deereco Road, l/4 mile south off Padonia Road (exit l7 I-83), 6:30 AM from Carney Park and Ride on Harford Road and Jomat Avenue, 3/4 mile north off beltway exit 3l-B, and 6:45AM from Mountain Road & Joppa Park & Ride (exit 74 off I-95 drop off only). A breakfast stop on own will be made approximately 8:00 AM. Lunch on own and rest stops en route before arriving approximately 6:00PM in the Heritage House, 259 Main Street, Hyannis MA 02601-4095 (Tel. #508-775-7000 featuring an indoor pool). A Welcome reception will be held in your honor. Dinner included tonight at Chauncy’s at your lodging.
Monday, August 30
Breakfast included this morning at your lodging. Your guide will meet the group and escort you to the HY-LINE DOCKS where you will board a vessel for a cruise to the stunning Island of NANTUCKET. Upon arrival your guide will point out the restaurants, galleries, shops and museums that are within walking distance of the dock area for your time on your own. A Nantucket Island Tour at a time to be specified by your guide. Lunch and shopping are on your own. Departure for Hyannis is at 4:00 PM, arriving at 5:50 PM OR Your guide will meet you at your lodging and escort you to the HY-LINE DOCKS where you will board a vessel for a cruise to the “Storybook Island” of MARTHA’S VINEYARD. PLEASE MAKE SELECTION WITH RESERVATION. Upon arrival you will board a local bus for a DOWN ISLAND TOUR. You will learn about the history and lifestyle of the islanders as you travel the island’s villages. Lunch and shopping are on your own in the historic whaling village of Edgartown. Departure for Hyannis is in the late afternoon. Dinner is included this evening.
Tuesday, August 31
Breakfast included this morning. Your guide will meet you at the hotel and depart for a city tour of BOSTON including Back Bay, Beacon Hill, Boston Common and Public Gardens and view the U.S.S. Constitution. Lunch and shopping are on your own at Quincy Market. Admission is included at the JOHN F. KENNEDY LIBRARY. Dinner buffet included at the Dan’l Webster Inn.
Wednesday, September 1
Breakfast included this morning then board the coach and depart with your guide and travel down historic Route 6A driving through colonial villages filled with wonderful examples of New England architecture. A stop will be made at Eastham Windmill, view a Cape Cod Lighthouse and drive through the Cape Cod National Seashore area to Provincetown. P-town is a unique destination with a rich history that combines a love of sea and the arts. Walk along the narrow streets filled with restaurants, shops and galleries. While in Provincetown, board the Whale Watch Excursion. A Naturalist on board will explain the different marine life you will be seeing during your cruise. A lobster dinner is included this evening. An alternate entrée is available.
Thursday, September 2
Breakfast will be included this morning. Your guide will meet the coach at the motel and depart for a tour of Hyannis including the Kennedy Memorial, Hyannisport and St. Francis Xavier Church. Today, you will also travel down historic Route 6A viewing the Dunes at Sandy Neck, the Great Salt Marsh and a cranberry bog. It is then off to Plymouth for lunch and shopping on your own. A picture stop will be made at Plymouth Rock, the Mayflower II and Forefather’s Monument. Lunch on own. A lobster dinner is included this evening. An alternative entrée is available.
Friday, September 3
Breakfast will be included this morning. Depart 8:00 AM for the return home taking with you many fond memories of “Olde Cape Cod”. Lunch on own and rest stops before arriving Carney Park and Ride approximately 6:00 PM and 6:30 PM Deereco Park and Ride.
