Visit America’s most popular historic estate — Mount Vernon. During the holiday program, visitors learn about the Washingtons’ Christmas traditions, tour the candlelit Mansion, and meet First Lady “Martha Washington”. Outside, on the grounds, caroling and free cookies and hot cider around a roaring campfire.
Depart 11:30 AM from the north end of the Park & Ride on Deereco Road, 1/4 mile south off Padonia Road (exit 17 off I-83) and 12 Noon from Carney Park & Ride on Harford Road and Jomat Avenue, 3/4 mile north off Beltway exit 3l-B. 1:30 PM arrive at Gadsby’s Tavern in Old Town Alexandria, VA for lunch. The tavern has been host to patriots, high society and presidents, including George Washington. 3:00 PM-4:30PM free time in Old Town Alexandria to shop and browse. 4:30 PM depart for Mount Vernon. Self-guided timed-tour (time to be announced at a later date) of the Mansion. Outside, guests can enjoy caroling and free cookies and hot cider around a roaring campfire. 8:00 PM depart for the return to Baltimore. Return approximately 9:30 PM at Carney Park & Ride and 10:00 PM at Deereco Park & Ride.
COST OF TRIP :
$79.00 per person. A $30.00 deposit per person is required to confirm the reservation. Balance is due 30 days prior to trip. Seats will be assigned upon final payment.
