Depart 8:00 AM from the north end of the Park & Ride on Deereco Road, ¼ mile south off Padonia Road (exit 17 off I-83) and 8:30 AM fromCarney Park & Ride on Harford Road and Jomat Avenue, ¾ mile north off beltway exit 3l-B. 10:30 AM arrive in Leesburg, VA to begin your southern dine-around. Begin the adventure with a wine tasting at Lost Creek Winery Vineyard located in Loudon County in the small town of Lucketts and nestled atop the palisades of the Potomac River. Here you will have a private tasting of Lost Creek’s award-winning wines accompanied by cheeses and crackers selected to enhance your tasting. 11:30 AM depart winery
Next, travel to Middletown for lunch at The Wayside Inn, serving travelers since 1797. Arrive 1:00PM The Inn’s heritage is based on service to the traveler. Guests began arriving in 1797, pausing for bed and board as they journeyed across the Shenandoah Valley. Twenty years later with the building of the valley pike, the Inn became a stagecoach stop, a relay station where fresh horses were ready, and where passengers could rest and enjoy delicious food and spirits. 2:30 PM depart restaurant.
3:00 PM The final visit will be Belle Grove Plantation for a special tour that includes the plantation as well as an overview of the Civil War Battle fought on the grounds. Belle Grove is an 18th century grain and livestock farm, in its prime (circa 1815), encompassed about 7500 acres of land. The unique limestone house was completed in 1797 for Major Isaac Hite and his wife Nelly, sister of future President James Madison. The house has remained virtually unchanged through the years, offering visitors an experience of the life and times of the people who lived there in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. After a tour of the mansion, tea and pastries will be served while a costumed interpreter explains the significance of high tea and its role at Belle Grove. 4:30PM depart Belle Grove for the return home. Return approximately 7:00 PM to Carney Park & Ride and 7:30 PM Deereco Park & Ride.

$89.00 per person. A $40.00 deposit per person is required to confirm the reservation. Balance is due 30 days prior to trip. Seats will be assigned upon final payment.
