Falling water is located in southwest Pennsylvania’s Laurel Highlands and 90 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh. The home sits in a scenic, wooded setting on PA Route 381 between the quaint villages of Mill Run and Ohiopyle. Designed in 1936 for the wealthy Kaufmann family and perched over a waterfall, Fallingwater is the most famous private residence ever built blending into the surrounding terrain creating a stunning effect. Kentuck Knob represents a refinement of the many principles of organic architecture explored by Wright. The home was designed in 1953 and constructed by local craftsmen who had earned the confidence of Mr. Wright. Situated just the crest of the hill, Kentuck Knob appears almost part of the mountain itself.

Depart 6:00 AM from the north end of the Park & Ride on Deereco Road, 1/4 mile south off Padonia Road (exit 17 off I-83) and 6:30 AM from Carney Park & Ride on Harford Road and Jomat Avenue, 3/4 mile north off beltway exit 3l-b. 9:30 AM arrive in Somerset, PA. to pick up a guide at theQuality Inn, just after you come off the PA Turnpike Exit. 9:50AM depart for the Somerset Historical Museum. 11:15 AM board the coach and depart for a buffet lunch at Oakhurst. 12:30 PM back on the coach and travel through the country roads to Mill Run and visit the homes of Frank Lloyd Wright. 1:30 PM arrive at Fallingwater. This has been called “the most famous private residence ever built”. The house, constructed atop a stunning waterfall, has gained much fame for the innovative way in which Wright incorporated nature and architectural concepts. 3:00 PM next continue on to Kentuck Knob. 3:30PM tour. This is one of Frank Lloyd Wright’s homes that is located in the mountains of Western Pennsylvania. Today, the home is owned by Lord and Lady Palumbo of London, England. 5:00 PM back on the coach and depart for home. 6:00PM arrive back in Somerset and drop off the local guide. Fast food stop (on own) en route. Arrive approximately 8:00 PM at Carney Park & Ride and 8:30 PM at Deereco Park & Ride.

COST OF TRIP :
$89.00 Per person. A $40.00 deposit per person is required to confirm the reservation. Balance is due 30 days prior to trip. Seats will be assigned upon final payment.
