	ROMNEY, WEST VIRGINIA</p>
<p>	SUN &#8211; OCTOBER 17, 2010</p>
<p>All aboard!  The Potomac Eagle departs Romney, West Virginia for a three hour train excursion.  This trip is considered one of the most scenic trips in our country.  The train travels past rustic farms and old homes, some  built in the 1700&#8217;s.  It then curves along the valley wall and into the narrow valley of &#8220;The Trough&#8221;.  In this unspoiled valley is the Eastern home of the American Bald Eagle.</p>
<p>Depart 7:00 AM from the north end of the Park &#038; Ride on Deereco Road (1/4 mile south off Padonia Road &#8211; Exit 17 off I-83) and 7:30 AM from the Carney Park &#038; Ride on Harford Road and Jomat Avenue (3/4 mile north off beltway Exit 31-B).  10:00 AM arrive in Cumberland, MD and meet a local guide at the Western Maryland Station Center and tour the C &#038; O Canal Museum.  10:30 AM back on the coach and stop at the Queen City Transportation Museum which depicts the transportation heritage of the National Road. 11:00 AM a plated lunch will be served at the Museum. 12:15PM  board the coach and depart for a tour of the Emmanuel Church which is located on the site of Old Fort Cumberland.  Today the church is the home to three lovely Tiffany Windows and the old trenches from the fort, which are located under the church.  1:00 PM  now it&#8217;s on to The Potomac Eagle.  2:00 PM All aboard!  Sit back and relax on your three hour train excursion.  Don&#8217;t forget your binoculars to catch the magnificent American Bald Eagle in flight. Desserts served on the train.  5:30PM board the coach and depart for the trip home dropping off the local guide in Cumberland.  6:15 PM depart for home. A  fastfood stop on own will  be made en route before returning approximately  9:30 PM to Carney Park &#038; Ride and 10:00 PM to Deereco Park &#038; Ride.</p>

$89.00 per person.  A $40.00 deposit per person is required to confirm the reservation.  Balance is due 30 days prior to departure.  Seats will be assigned upon final payment.  </p>

<p>Depart <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">7:30 AM</span></strong> from <strong>the north end of the Park &amp; Ride on Deereco Road</strong>, 1/4 mile south off Padonia Road (exit 17 off I-83) and <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">8:00 AM</span></strong> from <strong>Carney Park &amp; Ride on Harford Road and Jomat Avenue</strong>, 3/4 mile north off beltway exit 3l-B.  <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">10:30</span></strong> arrive in Green Ridge at Town Hill Inn B&amp;B, where you will meet your friendly guide.  This is the first stop on our progressive dine-around as we travel through the mountains of the Alleghenies we will be visiting many historical sites. The inn was one of the first roadhouses on the National Road. <strong>(Sweet rolls and muffins, coffee and tea) <span style="text-decoration: underline;">11:00AM</span></strong> depart for Cumberland, MD and the Historic District of Cumberland. <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">11:30 AM</span></strong><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"> </span></strong> <strong>The </strong><strong>Queen</strong><strong> </strong><strong>City</strong><strong> </strong><strong>Transportation</strong><strong> </strong><strong>Museum</strong><strong> </strong>is located  in the 1925 romantic castle-design former armory.  The museum features the Jim thrasher collection of early transportation vehicles from 1840 Conestoga wagon to early automobile includind a Model T <strong>(soup &amp; salad, with beverage served)</strong>. <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">1:15 PM</span></strong>  the group will make a stop at the <strong>Woman</strong><strong>’</strong><strong>s Civil Club </strong>.  This Victorian home is located in the historic district of Cumberland <strong>(Main Course) </strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>2:30 PM</strong></span><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"> </span></strong> back on the coach and depart.  <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">2:45 PM</span></strong> the day ends with a stop at <strong>Gordon Roberts History House</strong>, an eighteen  room Victorian mansion, dating back into the mid-1800&#8217;s when the city was the second largest city in the state of Maryland <strong>(Victorian tea with desserts).  <span style="text-decoration: underline;">4:00 PM</span></strong> back on the coach and head for home.  Arrive approximately <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">6:30 PM</span></strong> at Carney Park &amp; Ride and <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">7:00 PM</span></strong> at Deereco Park &amp; Rid</p>
